"Waterworks"! Here we are !
Between the Label Laborie Jazz and Gaël Rouilhac, it's a patient and passionate story.
Present on different editions of the Festival Eclats d'Email Jazz Edition (www.eclatsdemail.com) and in several formulas where he was a leader, Gaël has long matured a work of personal composition by trying to put all his talent and all the vision that he wants to tune to his music.
The meeting with violinist Caroline Bugala and Sicilian accordionist Roberto Gervasi had already occurred in 2015, a first meeting full of promise where Gaël unveiled his first compositions and a musical intimacy with finesse and depth. Speech becomes free, life is told and expression is opened to the public.
This trio remained the base that Gaël Rouilhac wanted to give to his music. "Waterworks", beyond a program, also becomes the title of his first album which will be recorded at the end of November 2019.
The culmination of a whole reflection, a whole process, and precise choices, the definition of a universe that we are now eager to share.
Caroline Bugala, magnificent violinist, sensitive and very attentive, of classical training, student of, but also sharing the stage and the studio with Didier Lockwood, and Roberto Gervasi, real revelation of the Italian scene, are both a jewel who dresses and carries Gaël Rouilhac's music in what is most touching and beautiful. "Waterworks", the recording to remember to be at the heart of creation.
