Damien Fleau
Damien Fleau is part of this generation of composers doing everything by himself.
Multi-instrumentalist: Saxophonist and pianist by training, this musician with multiple influences is above all passionate about the cinematographic universe. His references range from Mozart, Ravel, Wagner, and Ennio Morricone to Nihls Fram, Steve Reich and Philippe Glass.
His experience of the stage brings to his creation a very particular openness and sensitivity. His references, his musical and cinematographic culture allow him to offer his various collaborators, directors among others, but also television and advertising programs, a wide range of musical styles. This diversity led him to work with directors such as Coline Serreau for his film "Everything is permitted", or with the New Yorker Shawn Christensen (Oscar for best short film) for his film "The Vanishing of Sidney Hall ".
He thus goes from a music tinged with electronic sounds and analog synthesizers to a much more orchestral music in the line of composers such as Reich or Glass. He has just finished the soundtrack of the series on the singer Soprano "A la vie à la mort" soon available on Disney +.
He brings to life through his personal compositions groups such as KAST, a duo with an electro pop universe. But also FESTEN, a jazz quartet with strong cinematographic references.
In 2023, he released his first solo piano album: “Breaking Waves”.
