On air
- Artist: Benjamin Moussay
- Release: 2010
- Ref.: LJ12
Release : april, 2010
Creative pianist with a touch of sensuality in his playing, Benjamin Moussay cultivates the art of staging his melodies, captivating the audience by his ability to construct and direct his compositions as if they were scenes from a movie, projecting atmospheres that trigger reverie and provoke the imaginary. References come to mind as one listens to the pianist : Light melodies, formal thoroughness inherited from Malher and Beethoven, acquaintances with the poetry of Paul Bley and lyricism that would remind of Chopin. The will to bring the listener to his music without brutality echoes as one of the founding principles of his work. The evidence of his melodies reveals a singing music, alternating between strength and softness. With sidekicks Arnault Cuisinier on double bass and Eric échampard on drums, they’ll greet us with a new album « On Air » in November 2010, a tracklist alternately romantic and feverish where electronics will bring the trio’s universe to modern and lively jazz.
